(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the existing law, the commission may send a written notice to the concerned university to cancel the affiliation of the educational institution or any one or more educational programs of the institution in the following cases:-
(a) If the fee is more than that prescribed under section 18,
(b) In case of violation of the norms regarding the number of seats as determined by the Commission, (c)     In case of repeated contravention of the directions given by the Commission,
(d)     If it does not meet the criteria prescribed under this Act.
(2) Before canceling the affiliation of an educational institution in accordance with sub-section (1), the concerned university shall give such institution a reasonable opportunity to submit its explanation.
(3) If an educational institution does not submit a clarification within the period given under sub-section (2) or if the submitted clarification is not satisfactory, the concerned university shall cancel the affiliation of such educational institution or any one or more educational programs of that institution.
(4) According to sub-section (3), if the affiliation of any educational institution or the educational program of that institution is terminated, the concerned university shall inform the commission as soon as possible.
(5) According to sub-section (3), when the affiliation of an educational institution or the educational program of that institution is terminated, the related university shall continue the studies of the students studying in such educational institution.
(6) If a student enrolled in an educational institution whose affiliation has been revoked in accordance with sub-section (3) cannot be continued to study in another educational institution in accordance with sub-section (5), such students should be arranged for continuous study in the same educational institution so that they cannot take new admissions.
(7) Provisions related to cancellation of affiliation of educational institution and liability after cancellation of said institution shall be as prescribed.
