Section 47
Failure to maintain mandatory balance
If a commercial bank or financial institution does not deposit the amount as per the mandatory balance set by the bank, the bank will fine the concerned commercial bank and financial institution for the period of non-compliance. In this way, the amount of penalty will not be more than three times the maximum bank rate set by the bank.
