(1) Before using a measuring weight or measuring weighing device, a permit must be obtained in accordance with section 25 of the Act by submitting an application to the inspector within thirty five days of purchasing such measuring weight or measuring weighing device.
(2) After receiving the application as per sub-rule (1), the inspector shall pay Rs. 5.- The name of the concerned trader and businessperson should be registered in separate register book after taking the customs and giving the permit as per Schedule-10.
(3) If a trader or businessman who has obtained a license according to sub-rule (2) abandons his trade or business within the time limit for affixing a stamp on the measuring weight or measuring weighing device and gives the measuring weight or measuring weighing device to a person engaged in any other trade or business, the trader who receives the same Or the businessperson will have to apply a stamp according to rule 11.
(4) Traders or businessmen who have obtained permission according to sub-rule (2) shall notify the office when leaving their trade and business.
(5) If the notice is received as per sub-rule (4) or if the stamp is not affixed within the time limit of sub-rule (1A) of rule 11, the permit obtained by such trader or businessman as per sub-rule (2) shall be cancelled.
