(1) In accordance with this Act, organizations wishing to provide drinking water and sanitation services, to survey, construct, operate and manage projects or service systems or to make public, institutional or commercial and industrial use of drinking water resources shall submit an application to the designated authority for a permit in the prescribed format. will fall Explanation: For the purposes of this paragraph, "designated officer" means the official appointed by the Ministry of Water Supply in the case of the Government of Nepal, the official appointed by the Ministry of Water Supply in the case of the provincial government and the official appointed by the local level in the case of the local level.
(2) When making an application as per sub-section (1), the economic, technical and environmental study report of the relevant subject as per the prevailing law and other details as specified shall also be attached.
(3) If it is found that additional documents are required or clarification is required on any matter during the necessary investigation of the application received under sub-section (1), the designated officer shall give seven days time to the applicant to submit such documents or to clarify.
(4) If the applicant submits additional documents or makes further clarifications within the time given under sub-section (3), that date shall be considered as the date of submission of the application.
