(1) The period of permit granted for electricity survey shall be up to five years at most.
(2) The duration of the license granted for power generation, transmission or distribution shall be up to fifty years.
(3) If a permit is granted for a period less than the period specified in sub-section (1) or (2), it shall be renewed as prescribed before the expiry of the period specified in the permit.
(4) If it is not renewed in accordance with sub-section (3), such permit will automatically be cancelled.
