(1) The Government of Nepal may establish disabled homes in various areas of Nepal as per the need. The Government of Nepal can also use the operated disabled home.

However, anything written in this sub-rule shall not be deemed to have the right to interfere with the operation of such a disabled home.

(3) Social welfare officer or If the police officer himself finds an old disabled person or a helpless disabled person, or if someone else brings him to report, take the details of three generations, name, surname, address, photograph and any special marks on the body and thumb print of such disabled person as much as possible, and hand over such disabled person to the nearest disabled home.

(4) The head of the disabled house should keep the elderly disabled or helpless disabled separately on the basis of gender. For the purpose of locating the mother, relative or guardian, the social welfare officer, the head of the disabled home or the police office may publish a notice with the name and photo of such disabled person in a newspaper or broadcast it through other means of communication.
