Section 38
Tenure of the Commission

(1) The term of office of the Commission shall be one year from the date of commencement of this section.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), if the work required to be completed by the commission according to this Act remains to be completed within the period mentioned in that sub-section, the Government of Nepal may extend the term of office of the commission for up to one year.
(3) According to this Act, the tenure of the Commission shall not be deemed to have expired merely because the term of office of the Chairman and members has expired.
