: (1) In each academic session, when enrolling students at various levels up to graduation, the institution shall make arrangements for reservation of forty-five percent places for Nepalese students who have passed the entrance exam or equivalent from a community school in that area and have permanent residence in a backward area.
(2) The institution is designated to admit Nepalese students who have permanently settled in a backward area and who have passed the entrance exam from a community school in that area and have obtained higher education from a higher secondary school or similar educational institution in that area. (3) According to sub-sections (1) and (2), women, Dalits, tribals/tribals, Madhesi and backward class students from backward areas will be given priority. (4) Students will be selected through competition while making reservations as per sub-section (1).
