Section 72
Financial Year and Accounts of Income and Expenditure
(1) The rural municipality and the municipality shall maintain the financial year from July 1 of each year to the end of June of the following year and keep an account of income and expenditure.
(2) The rural municipality and municipality shall adopt the rules regarding the classification of income and expenditure and the heading of expenditure as determined by the Government of Nepal.
(3) The rural municipality and municipality may further classify the income and expenses without affecting the original title while adopting the provisions under sub-section (2).
