Rule 28
Financial assistance will be provided
(1) According to the Act or this regulation, if a worker who has gone to foreign employment dies for any reason within the contract period, the next of kin of the deceased worker may submit an application to the Board for financial assistance within one year of the death of the deceased worker.
(2) In the case of necessary selection on the application received as per sub-rule (1), if the misconduct is found to be serious, the board will provide financial assistance of three lakh rupees from the fund to the heirs of the deceased worker.
(3) If a worker who has gone to foreign employment in accordance with the Act or this regulation becomes disabled for any reason within the contract period, such worker may submit an application to the Board for financial assistance by attaching the following details within one year of his return to the country:-
(a) Copy of Agreement,
(b) Hospital prescription certifying disability.
(3A) If an application for financial assistance is received in accordance with sub-rule (3), the board shall send the application to the expert committee for making necessary investigations and recommendations.
(4) On the basis of the application received in accordance with sub-rule (3), if the misconduct is found to be serious, the board will provide financial assistance up to three lakh rupees from the fund based on the prescription of the hospital, the nature and extent of the disability.
(4) If the application received in accordance with sub-rule (3) is examined, the expert committee will recommend to the board to provide financial assistance up to seven lakh rupees to the applicant based on the nature and amount of the hospital prescription, disability or serious illness submitted by the applicant. Explanation: For the purposes of this rule, "seriously ill" means a patient who has been certified by an approved physician to be unable to perform work as per the contract due to illness requiring surgery or long-term medication.
(5) If there is a financial recommendation from the expert committee according to sub-rule (4), the board shall provide the amount of financial assistance from the fund to the concerned applicant within seven days.
(6) Death of any worker who has gone to foreign employment due to any reasonIn case of disability or illness, if the person entitled to such work or the disabled or ill worker applies to the Board for financial assistance, if such person entitled or worker does not receive the financial assistance according to this, the board may provide a lump sum financial assistance of twenty five thousand rupees to such person entitled or worker from the fund.
(7) The application given in accordance with this rule can be given through the local level as well. If such an application is received, the local level should inform the relevant applicant of sending such an application to the board with the documents and evidence received within seven days. will fall.
(8) According to this rule, when the board provides the financial assistance amount, it has to be deposited in the wadg account of the concerned person and business.
