Section 32
Complaints, investigations and suspensions

(1) If a notary public commits official misconduct, a person who becomes aware of it may file a complaint with the Council within two years of such act.
(2) If a complaint is received in accordance with sub-section (1) or during inspection or monitoring in accordance with section 31 or if it is known from any other source that the notary public has committed official misconduct, the council shall demand information or clarification from the relevant notary public within a specified period or make him appear before it. He can make a statement.
(3) According to sub-section (2) if it appears that the notary public should be suspended from the information or explanation or statement taken, the council may suspend such notary public.
(4) The period of suspension as per sub-section (3) shall not exceed two months and the council shall complete the work related to the complaint within that period.
(5) Other provisions related to investigation of complaints shall be as prescribed.
