: (1) The purpose of the trade union will be as follows:-
(a) To improve the working conditions of the workers and work for their economic and social upliftment,
(B) To try to maintain a good relationship between workers and managers,
(c) To help in the development of the establishment by increasing the productivity of the establishment,
(D) Will try to make the workers conscientious and disciplined.
(2) In addition to the objectives written in sub-section (1), the objectives of trade union association and trade union federation shall be as follows:-
(a) Conducting programs related to education of workers,
(b) To maintain contact with international organizations for the benefit of workers (c) To provide necessary consultation to the Government of Nepal regarding the formulation of labor policy (d) Conducting necessary workshops, conferences, seminars etc. to develop the social and economic level of the workers and publishing facts useful to the workers,
(e) Negotiate with the Government of Nepal regarding the protection and promotion of workers' rights and interests and adopt other necessary measures subject to prevailing laws.
