Section 11
Candidate Qualification
: To be a candidate in the election, any person should fulfill the following qualification:-
(a) Citizens of Nepal,
(b) having attained the age of thirty-five years,
(c) whose name is included in the electoral roll of a rural municipality or municipality,
(d) not disqualified by any federal law,
(e) Not holding any position of profit. Explanation: For the purposes of this section, "office of profit" means any other office which receives remuneration or financial benefits from government funds, other than political office which is filled by election or nomination.
