(1) For the position of female member of the village executive or city executive, a woman who is a member of the respective village assembly or municipal assembly can be a candidate.
(2) For the post of Dalit or minority member of the village executive or city executive, a person who meets the following qualifications can be a candidate;-
(a) Citizens of Nepal,
(b) having completed the age of twenty-one years,
(c) whose name is included in the electoral roll of the concerned rural municipality or municipality,
(d) Not disqualified under section 13 of the Act,
(e) Not disqualified by other prevailing laws.
(3) The following persons can be candidates for the post of head, deputy head and member of District Coordination Committee:-
(a) A woman who is a member of any village council or municipal council within the district for the post of women member,
(b) A Dalit or minority community member who is a member of any village council or municipal council within the district for the post of Dalit or minority member,
(c) A person who is a member of any village council or municipal council within the district for the position of chief, deputy chief or other member.
