Section 87
Provisions related to merger and division
: (1) Under this Act, two or more cooperative organizations can be merged with each other or one cooperative organization can be divided into two or more cooperative organizations on the basis of geographical area of operation.
(2) In accordance with sub-section (1), a decision must be made by a majority of the total number of existing members of the relevant cooperative organization during consolidation or division.
(3) According to sub-section (2) when deciding to merge or split, the terms and procedures of the merger or split should also be disclosed.
(4) Other provisions related to merger or division shall be as prescribed.
