Rule 90
Drug treatment

(1) During the service period, a military person will receive an allowance equal to twelve months in the case of an officer-level soldier, eighteen months in the case of a rank-and-file soldier, and twenty-one months in the case of soldiers and followers of Villadar level and other ranks.
(2) Sub-rule
if any military person or member of his family is ill In accordance with (1), the following expenses or amounts will be given without increasing the amount to be received:-
(a) Expenses of medicines purchased according to the prescriptions examined by an approved physician for the treatment of diseases,
(b) Billed expenses during admission and treatment in health institutions,
(c) Expenses recommended by the head of the concerned office, in the case of the head of the office, by the head of the taluk office and in the case of the Maharathi, by the secretary of the ministry, for treatment in hospitals and places where there is no approved doctor,
(d) Expenditure according to the bill for all types of surgical operations except plastic surgery,
(e) Seventy-five percent of the daily allowance that the sick soldier receives according to the rules for the total amount of the transportation expenses of the patient and for the cost of food for the patient during the journey to and from that place, and for the cost of food. Explanation: For the purpose of this sub-rule, "Approved Medical Practitioner" means a doctor, Kaviraj, Health Assistant or Medical Practitioner who is in Government service or registered as a medical practitioner under the prevailing law.
(3) If a military person is injured in the line of duty and is unable to receive medical treatment in Nepal, if the military person recommended by the Medical Board established by the Government of Nepal wants to go abroad for treatment, the Government of Nepal may give him additional financial assistance as deemed appropriate.
(4) If a military person wants to take the medical expenses received as per this rule as an advance and if the reason is reasonable, then the advance can be given by submitting the account after being subject to this rule. Then calculate the amount given in that wayIf it is more than the amount to be received for the treatment, the excess amount will be deducted from the salary of the concerned soldier in installments. In case of death of the concerned soldier or his family member without payment of the amount to be deducted, the remaining amount to be deducted will be waived.
(5) Military personnel who claim or receive treatment expenses in accordance with this rule by submitting false statements, including military doctors who prove such false statements, shall also be deemed to have committed an offense under Section 47 of the Act.
(6) A military person who is separated from the service in other cases except when he is deemed unfit for government service in the future, according to this rule, he will be entitled to receive a lump sum of the remaining medical expenses, whether or not he receives some of the medical expenses received during the service period.
(7) After completing the following period of service, the military personnel who are discharged from the service under sub-rule (6) will receive a lump-sum payment of the amount of the remaining amount taken for the medical expenses of Burmajimpa by adding the following deductions:
(a) Twenty years.................... Ten percent
(b) More than twenty years up to twenty-five years... Fifteen percent
(c) More than twenty-five years: For any number of years ... twenty percent
(8) If a military person leaves the service for any other reason, except for the case where he is dismissed as unfit for future government service before the completion of ten years of service, his family will be given the treatment expenses according to this rule.
(9) According to this rule, a military person will not be given more than one and a half month's salary in one year, except when he is admitted to a health institution or has to go abroad for treatment.
(10) In accordance with this rule, the statement of medical expenses received by the military personnel shall be kept in the personal records of the military personnel and sent to the relevant department, army, gan, Gulm and military archives.
(11) Soldiers in remote areas or their families get sickIf the district health center recommends that there is a life-threatening situation if treatment is not available from the local health center, then the government of Nepal will pay the expenses for the transportation to and from the place where the treatment is available.
