Rule 2
Definition
In these regulations, unless the subject or the context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Authorized cadet" means a person selected for cadet training authorized to be commissioned in an officer.
(b) "Artillery force" means a well-equipped force with various large arms and cannons that provide fire support to basic fighting forces during wartime.
(c) "Base force" means the force conducting the operation and the term refers to infantry, mechanized infantry force as well.
(d) "Arms" means the basic forces participating in the war and the term includes infantry, armour, artillery, air defense artillery, engineers and signals.
(e) "Engineers Force" means a force equipped with the resources to provide support to the basic fighting force in time of war as required.
(f) "Int and Security Group" means a group that collects and accurately analyzes sensitive information needed by the Nepali Army and predicts possible events in the future.
(G) "Air Defense Artillery Force" means the basic fighting force during the war, the force that conducts direct defensive action to neutralize or reduce the air attack by the use of various weapons and tools of the enemy or the opponent.
(h) "Act" means the Military Act, 2063.
(i) "Combat Arms Force" means the basic fighting forces directly engaged in the battle and includes infantry, mechanized infantry and special forces.
(j) "Combat Related Duties" shall mean the work performed by the military bodies that are not directly involved in combat and other than the direct combat duties mentioned in Clause (n) and that term also refers to the provision and administrative work done in the infantry and auxiliary units.
(k) "Evaluation of performance" shall mean the statement as per rule 39.
(l) “Working Group” means;It should be remembered that the group has the main responsibility of running the Nepali Army in a strong and orderly manner and increasing professional efficiency by training the entire ranks, maintaining discipline and updating records.
(d) "Head of Office" means the head of a combat support unit, combat support, service support unit and directorate, training institution, depot, and contingently performing duties under a combat unit, division, directorate, gun regiment or similar unit under the unit, training institution, depot and contingently: Should.

(p) "Filling Committee" means the Filling Committee as per Rule 8.
(h) “Padik or Vabilladar - Cadet” means a military person selected for Padik or Vitalladar Cadet training for commission in an officer.
(d) "Family" means husband, wife, son, daughter, adopted son, adopted daughter, father, mother or step-mother who lives with the soldier and has to be supported by him, and in the case of a married female soldier, the term also refers to his mother-in-law.
(d) “Principal Staff Officers (P.S.O.s.)” means Heads of Departments and by that term the Commander-in-Chief of the P.S.O.s. It also refers to an officer of a higher rank or above as specified.
(N) "Principal Staff Officers Committee" shall mean the Committee constituted under Rule 99.
(p) "Promotion Committee" meansIt should be referred to as the Promotion Committee under Rule 33.
(f) "Bondobasti group" means the group responsible for the supply and orderly distribution of essential goods required by the Nepali Army during peacetime or wartime.
(b) "Ministry" means the Ministry of Defence. (B) "Head of Department" means the head of the authorized department, head of force department, executive department, administrative department, administrative department, inspection authorized department and the head of the office designated by the Government of Nepal as a department within the military base.
(i) "Supporting Forces" means the forces which provide support to the basic fighting forces in battle and the term includes artillery, air defense artillery, army aviation, engineers and signals.

(r) "Signal Force" means a force with the resources to provide support to basic combatant forces in time of war by providing communication facilities as required.
(l) "Signal Group" means the group having the main responsibility of managing the communication sector of the Nepali Army.
(l1) "army mobilization" - means army mobilization as recommended by the National Security Council.
(v) "Military Police" shall mean a unit from military officers to soldiers working under the command of the Chief of Military Police and the term also refers to the Chief of Military Police.
(q) "Soldier" means a person to whom the Military Act applies, including military and officer cadets who have joined the Nepali Army.
(f) "Military Secretary" means the Military Secretary of a military base.
(c) "Soldier" means a person newly appointed to the army and selected for army training.
