Section 33
Confession Forest Retractable
(1) If the lessee in the confessional forest provided in accordance with section 32 fails to carry out work in accordance with the forest-related lease, or if he does any work that has a significant adverse effect on the environment, or if he does not comply with the things required to be followed in accordance with this Act and the rules made under this Act, the State Forest Director shall, as specified by the Provincial Forest Director, It can decide to cancel the related lease and take back such confessional forest. (2) The Pattawala who is not satisfied with the decision made by the State Forest Director as per sub-section (1) may appeal to the High Court within thirty-five days from the date of receiving the notice of such decision.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-sections (1) and (2), in the case of concessional forest provided under sub-section (6) of section 32, if the situation is as per sub-section (1), the Divisional Forest Officer shall decide to cancel such lease and withdraw the concessional forest.
