: (1) In accordance with section 11, if one does engineering business without registering with the Council, it shall be deemed to have committed an offense under this Act.
(2) A person who commits an offense under sub-section (1) shall be punished with a fine up to ten thousand rupees or imprisonment for a term up to three months or both.
(2A) Section 21A. If an educational institution operates without being recognized by the Council, the Council may take action as prescribed.
(3) Except as mentioned in sub-section (2) and (rock) of this Act: or- If any act is contrary to the rules made under this Act, such person shall be fined up to twenty five thousand rupees.
(4) The Council may punish a registered engineer who violates or fails to comply with the Code of Professional Conduct as follows:-
(a) Intimation shall be effected only after verification by the Printing Department.
(b) to suspend the certificate of registration so as not to carry on engineering business for a specified period,
(c) Removal of Name from Register Book. But before punishing him in that way, he should be given an opportunity to present his justification.
(5) Clause (c) of sub-section (4) 8 engineer whose name has been removed from the book of records, if he has done any act that is punishable according to the prevailing law, then such engineer can be prosecuted according to the prevailing law.
