(1) If the wife of an imprisoned or imprisoned person has a son or daughter born inside the prison, or if there is a minor son or daughter under two years of age, even if there is an heir to look after him outside, if the mother wants to keep him with her and take care of him, he can be kept inside the prison. After such minor attains the age of two years, except in case of necessity, he shall be entrusted to the custody of the heir. Or until he remains in prison, all care, education, initiation and upbringing of such a minor will be done at the expense of the Government of Nepal as prescribed.
(3) If a minor under twelve years of age is detained or imprisoned, his mother, father or other relatives will not be allowed to stay inside the prison even if he wants to take care of him.
