Section 116
Can act as acting
(1) If the post of ward chairman becomes vacant for any reason, a member chosen by the members of the ward committee from among themselves will act as acting ward chairman.
(2) If there is no ward election, the executive may appoint an employee to act as the ward chairman until the election is held.
