Section 16
Work, Duties and Powers of the Implementation Committee
The work, duties and powers of the Implementation Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) To recommend to the Government of Nepal to grant licenses to construction professionals.
(b) Collecting contemporary studies, researches and necessary suggestions related to construction business and submitting them to the Government of Nepal.
(c) If there is any question regarding the quality of public construction work, to make the necessary investigation regarding the inspection pass by the relevant technician.
(d) If it is found that the technician has passed the inspection without maintaining the specified quality during the inspection according to clause (c), to recommend to the relevant agency to take action against the person involved in that action in accordance with the prevailing law to recover the damages caused by it.
(e) Determine the necessary policy matters and recommend to the Government of Nepal regarding the submission of bids, contract agreements and issuance of bank guarantee (bid bond or performance bond) in the currency of the respective country to construction businessmen who have been licensed in accordance with this Act.< br> (f) To perform other tasks as specified.
