(1) If the request, details, documents and evidence for mutual legal assistance are received in accordance with section 26, the central authority shall make a decision within fifteen days regarding whether or not to proceed with the action of providing mutual legal assistance after conducting the necessary study and investigation.
(2) According to subsection (1), if the details, documents and evidence received with the request are not sufficient to proceed with the action related to mutual legal assistance, the central authority may send a written request to the foreign state through diplomatic channels to submit additional details, documents and evidence.
(3) In case of a decision to proceed with proceedings related to mutual legal assistance according to sub-section (1), the central authority shall, for the purpose of providing mutual legal assistance, request mutual legal assistance related to the investigation, to the investigating body, and in case other mutual legal assistance is requested, to the relevant district court. An order should be given to the concerned District Public Prosecutor to make the application.
