(1) A mining development committee will be formed in each district as follows to make recommendations regarding the permission to carry out mining operations for general construction minerals:-
(a) Local Development Officer – Coordinator (b) Representative, District Development Committee – Member
(c) Representative (Official Level), District Administration Office – Member
(d) Representative (Official Level), District Forest Office – Member
(e) Representative (Official Level), District Road Office – Member
(f) Representative (Official Level), District Land Conservation Office - Member
(G) Representative (Official Level), Housing and Urban Development Office – Member
(h) Head of District Surveyor Branch or Surveyor appointed by him- Member
(j) In the case of the districts of Kathmandu Valley, the official level representative of the Department of Mines and Geology, and in the case of other districts, the official level representative of the Domestic and Small Industries Office, and in the case of districts where there is no such office, the authorized level representative of the Office of the Domestic and Small Industry Development Committee - Member
(j) Planning and Administrative Officer, District Development Committee - Member - Secretary (2) The committee shall determine its own procedure regarding the meeting.
