(1) A director shall resign from his office in the following cases:- (a) if he submits his resignation in writing and is accepted by the Government of Nepal, (b) if he does not attend the meeting of the committee for three consecutive times without informing the committee and if the reason for such absence is unreasonable in the opinion of the Government of Nepal, c) If the nominated directors are not working in the relevant body or institution according to clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of section 4, (d) if the government of Nepal appoints another person in their place without completing the term of office, or (e) in section 5 (2) If the chairman or any director is unable to run the work of the committee for some time due to illness or vacation or any other reason, the Government of Nepal may temporarily appoint another person to run the work for that time.
