Rule 20
Construction of sports infrastructure
: (1) Construction and maintenance of large and national level sports infrastructure announced by the Government of Nepal can be done by the Ministry itself or through the Council.
(2) Subject to sub-rule (1), the council may construct multi-use sports infrastructure in accordance with international standards in which national and international sports competitions can be conducted in each province.
(3) The operation, maintenance and protection of the sports infrastructure constructed as per sub-rule (2) shall be done by the Council. (4) Physical infrastructure of sports owned by the council may be transferred to the provincial or local level by mutual coordination and cooperation between the government of Nepal, the provincial government and the local level.
(5) The council may implement any project of public private sector: partnership and investment in the construction of sports infrastructure, with the approval of the Ministry, in accordance with the prevailing law.
(6) The Council of the Ministry: through partnership and investment with public, private, non-governmental, cooperative and community organizations with approval: to develop necessary infrastructure for sports and organize sports competitions, purchase of sports materials, sports training, player awareness and other necessary training programs including sports The work related to the development of the area can be done according to the prevailing law.
