: For the purpose of clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 123,–
(a) If he is absent for less than 6 consecutive hours for one day or more than one day or is detained, he shall not be considered absent or detained.
(b) If a soldier is not able to work full-time due to being absent or detained for less than one day, if someone else is assigned to do that work, the person who has been absent or detained for less than one day shall be considered to have been absent or detained for one day.
(c) If he is absent or detained for twelve consecutive hours or more on any day, he shall be considered absent or detained for only one day, regardless of the length of such time.
(d) If the absence or detention ends before midnight, the period of absence or detention shall be considered to be one full day.
