Section 34
Scholarship to be provided
: (1) The institution shall provide full scholarship to underprivileged students in at least twenty percent of the total number of students enrolled in each academic session. Explanation: For the purpose of this clause, "disadvantaged" means a student who has studied in a government/community school and has passed entrance examination or equivalent, and has been recommended as disadvantaged by the concerned municipality/municipality on the prescribed basis.
(2) According to sub-section (1) considering twenty percent as one hundred percent, only forty-five percent of the scholarships will be provided to women, Dalits, tribals/tribes, Madhesi and backward students.
(3) The institution may provide partial scholarships to underprivileged students.
(4) According to sub-sections (1) and (2), the basis for providing scholarships will be as prescribed.
(5) Any body or institution may provide scholarship to any student for study in the institution.
