(1) When demarcating the boundaries of the national forest, if necessary for the protection of such forest, the Government of Nepal may demarcate the public or private land of any person within the forest or connected to the border of the forest, including the houses, roofs and other physical structures built on that land.
(2) According to sub-section (1), the private land of a person that has been taken within the boundary of the forest and the houses built on that land, including the roofs and other physical structures, shall be acquired in accordance with the prevailing law relating to land acquisition and compensation shall be given.
(3) Other arrangements related to the acquisition of land within the forest boundary shall be in accordance with the prevailing law on land acquisition.
