Rule 20
Basis for classifying type of land
:
(1) According to Section 10 of the Act, for the purpose of classifying the type of land, the land to be measured will be divided into two areas based on the use of the land as follows:-
(a) Agricultural sector,
(b) commercial and residential areas.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), there will be a committee in each district with the following officers:-
(a) Chief District Officer – Chairman (b) Member of the District Development Committee appointed by the Chairman of the concerned District Development Committee – Member
(c) Head of Customs Office – Member
(d) Head of Tax Office and in his absence, Head of Treasury and Controller of Accounts Office - Member
(e) Head of Napi Goshwara in case of Napi Goshwara and if not, Head of Napi Branch – Member – Secretary
(3) After dividing the area of land according to sub-rule (1), the head of surveying team shall classify the land according to the points given in schedule-12 in the Rohwar of the representative of the concerned village development committee or municipality and after classifying in that way, a notice shall be published for the information of the general public.
