Section 42
Public health-friendly housing, public transport and road infrastructure and safety
: (1) The standards and quality prescribed by the federal law should be maintained in order to be health-friendly during the construction of housing areas.
(2) Road infrastructure should be constructed in such a way as to reduce road accidents and keep health promotion in mind. While upgrading the new roads and old roads, sidewalks, disabled friendly structures and cycle lanes should be provided at designated locations as per the prevailing law.
(3) The Government of Nepal may enforce the necessary standards to make public transport environment-friendly so that there is no adverse impact on public health.
