Rule 18
Birth registration certificate to be submitted

(1) Female workers on maternity leave shall submit to the employer a copy of the birth registration certificate of the child and if there is no such certificate, a copy of the birth certificate (birth certificate) issued by the hospital or health post where the child was born within three months from the date of termination of such leave.
(2) After submitting the birth registration certificate as per sub-rule (1), the employer shall approve the maternity leave of such worker.
(3) In case of stillbirth or miscarriage of a female laborer or laborer's wife, such laborer shall be entitled to maternity leave and facilities in accordance with the Act or this regulation, a birth certificate from the relevant hospital or health post or a health examination showing that the abortion has occurred. A report (medical report) should be submitted.
