Section 19
Can be fined
: (1) The Commission does not comply with the order or instructions under sub-section (3) of section 17 or section 37, the decision under sub-section (2) of section 18 or any matter under this Act or the rules made under this Act or interrupts the electricity service without giving prior notice. A person who does or has a permit to do so may be fined up to five lakh rupees.
(2) The amount fined according to sub-section (1) shall be deposited in the accumulated fund of the Government of Nepal.
(3) The amount paid for the fine made in accordance with sub-section (1) cannot be included as an expense or investment of the licensee for the purpose of determining the fee.
(4) A licensee who is not satisfied with the fine imposed by the Commission in accordance with sub-section (1) may appeal to the High Court, Patan within thirty-five days from the date of such fine.
(2) The amount fined according to sub-section (1) shall be deposited in the accumulated fund of the Government of Nepal.
