(1) The agency that constructs a dam for electricity, drinking water, irrigation or any other purpose shall construct a fee ladder as far as possible in order not to obstruct the movement of waterfowl. If it is not possible to construct a fee ladder, an aquatic hatchery and an aquatic nursery should be arranged for the purpose of artificial reproduction of aquatic animals in such a place or in the nearby area.
(2) Prior information shall be given to the technical officer while carrying out the construction work as per sub-section (1).
