(1) If there is a complaint with evidence that a party has received voluntary financial assistance that should not be taken in accordance with this Act, or if information is received from any other source, or if there is reasonable cause to believe that the party has received such amount, the Commission shall investigate the matter as prescribed. br> (2) If it is found that the party has received such amount from the investigation according to sub-section (1), the commission will order the relevant political party to deposit such amount with the commission.
(3) Within thirty days of receiving the order as per sub-section (2), the concerned party shall deposit such amount to the Commission and the amount so received shall be deposited by the Commission to the reserve fund within fifteen days.
(4) If the party does not deposit the amount within the period as per sub-section (3), the commission may impose a fine of ten thousand rupees on that party by depositing such amount.
