(1) In order to remove the constitutional official on the basis of which the motion of impeachment has been submitted against him, the investigation committee shall disclose the same reason and basis and prepare a charge sheet and clear the accused constitutional official with his explanation. The charge sheet should be given to him after giving reasonable time to submit it.

(2) The charge-sheet under sub-section (1) shall, in addition to other matters, clearly mention the following matters:–

(a) A brief description of the charges on which the impeachment motion has been submitted to remove him from office,

(b) what allegation is based on what and Evidence as available,

(c) If a motion for impeachment is filed against more than one charge at a time, the particulars and evidence prescribed in clauses (a) and (b) in respect of each charge,

(d) Other essential matters.

(3) If the constitutional officer does not submit an explanation within the deadline according to sub-section (1) or if the submitted explanation is not acceptable to the investigation committee, the investigation committee shall evaluate accordingly and propose impeachment. Will decide if it is suitable or not.
