- According to the constitution of Nepal, there is a provision that impeachment proceedings can be conducted against the officials who are in the constitutional bodies and it is desirable to make a legal provision to regulate the procedure of such proceedings, the Parliament has made this Act in the first year of the reign of Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Gyanendra Veer Bikram Shahdev.
