Section 31
Investigating
Within seven days of receiving an application for permission to construct a building in accordance with Section 28, the Chief Administrative Officer shall investigate whether the application is duly submitted, and if no formalities are found, the following shall be done:-
(a) If any sadiyar is offended by the construction of such a building, post a notice in his office, on the wall of the sadiyar's house and at the place where the building is to be constructed, so that everyone can see the details of the aggrieved person and come to complain within fifteen days. (b) Within three days of the expiry of the deadline mentioned in the notification under Clause (a), the engineer or sub-engineer and other employees shall jointly be made to check whether or not the building can be constructed as mentioned in the construction application.
