Rule 4
Caste Approval, Release and Registration Sub-Committee
According to clause (a) of sub-rule (1) of rule 3, the sub-committee on breed approval, release and registration formed for the purpose of approval, release and registration of seed varieties shall have the following members.
(a) Director General, Department of Agriculture – Chairman
(b) Director, (Crops and Horticulture) Nepal Agricultural Research Council – Member
(c) Head, concerned Crop Research Programme, Nepal Agricultural Research Council – Member
(d) Program Director, Subject Matter Directorate, Department of Agriculture/Animal Services – Member
(e) Head, Soil Science Division, Nepal Agricultural Research Council – Member
(f) Head, Seed Science and Technology Division, Nepal Agricultural Research Council – Member
(g) One member from among the seed businessmen represented in the seed business association (h) One person nominated by the committee from amongst non-governmental organizations involved in seed business – Member
(i) Head, Center – Member – Secretary
(a) Director General, Department of Agriculture – Chairman
(b) Director, (Crops and Horticulture) Nepal Agricultural Research Council – Member
(c) Head, concerned Crop Research Programme, Nepal Agricultural Research Council – Member
(d) Program Director, Subject Matter Directorate, Department of Agriculture/Animal Services – Member
(e) Head, Soil Science Division, Nepal Agricultural Research Council – Member
(f) Head, Seed Science and Technology Division, Nepal Agricultural Research Council – Member
(g) One member from among the seed businessmen represented in the seed business association (h) One person nominated by the committee from amongst non-governmental organizations involved in seed business – Member
