The Work, Duties and Powers of Caste Approval, Release and Registration Sub-Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) Prepare necessary infrastructure for approval, release and registration of developed seed varieties and get approved by the committee.
(b) To recommend to the Committee for the release and registration of seeds that have not been released.
(c) Identify the released seed varieties and submit them to the committee for registration with necessary details.
(D) Arrange the breeding of approved and released seed varieties.
(e) To recommend to the committee to record the varieties of seeds imported from abroad and the seeds of Raithane and local varieties of crops produced in Nepal and to register the varieties.
(f) Recommending to the committee for approval, release and registration of seeds to the private sector.
(g) If it is deemed necessary to remove a variety of released seed from the register, recommend to the committee to remove that variety from the register.
(h) Arranging arrangements for promotion and protection of released seed varieties.
(i) Perform other work related to caste approval, release and registration.
