Rule 5
Work, Duties and Rights of the District Senior Citizen Welfare Committee

In addition to the duties, duties and rights written in the Act, other duties, duties and rights of the District Senior Citizen Welfare Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) To search for the necessary local resources for the purpose of conducting the annual program and mobilize the available resources,
(b) Gather suggestions regarding the policies, plans and programs to be adopted for the protection and social security of senior citizens by holding a conference of senior citizens with the participation of social workers at the district level,
(c) Keeping up-to-date records of care centers, day service centers, senior citizens' clubs and other organizations working on the protection and social security of senior citizens within the district and sending a copy thereof to the Central Senior Citizens Welfare Committee,
(d) Through public participation or by gathering the participation of governmental or non-governmental organizations, to spread propaganda regarding the protection of senior citizens and social security in various parts of the district, and to support social workers and governmental and non-governmental organizations doing such work,
(e) Establish planning committees at the municipal and village development committee levels to formulate and implement plans and programs related to senior citizens. (f) To reward individuals or organizations who have done excellent work in the field of senior citizens,
(g) Under the current law, taking the support of national and international organizations to carry out necessary activities to utilize the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience of senior citizens.
