Section 161
Punishment for death
(1) If a person driving a vehicle knocks over, hits or causes a vehicle accident in any way to a person and any person sitting outside the vehicle dies immediately as a result of such accident or within twenty one days as a result of such injury, if such act is done with intent to kill. The person who drives it will be imprisoned for life. If someone commits such an act with the intent to kill, the person who drives a vehicle in such a manner will be imprisoned for five to twelve years depending on the amount of the crime.
(2) Any person driving a vehicle negligently, without taking due care, when it is obvious that someone's life may die, causes a person to be hit, bumped, or in any way causes a vehicle accident. If he dies within twenty-one days as a result of the injury, the person driving the vehicle will be imprisoned for three years to ten years and fined from Rs. (3) If a person drives a vehicle in a situation where it does not seem likely that someone will die, and any person in the vehicle or outside the vehicle dies, the person driving the vehicle shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with a fine which may extend to two thousand rupees or with both. .
(4) If a person who does not have a driver's license commits an offense under sub-section (1) or (2) of driving a vehicle, he shall be fined two thousand rupees in addition to the punishment under the same sub-section. But there will be no additional penalty for life imprisonment.
(5) If the owner of a vehicle or the person in charge of the vehicle allows a person who does not have a driver's license to drive the vehicle and causes a collision, accident or death of a person, the person who allows such a person to drive the vehicle shall be imprisoned for two years.
