(1) The property of the trust shall be used in the national interest in a way that will be of broad and best public benefit.
(2) Without prejudice to the generality of sub-section (1), the assets of the trust may be used for the following activities –
(A) School, College, To establish and operate educational and academic institutions such as universities or to provide grants for the operation of such institutions,
“(A1) To conduct tourism and commercial activities in a manner conducive to the national interest and beneficial to the Trust."
(b) To establish and operate a public purpose hospital such as a hospital or a health post.
(3) Development of trust assets, The committee shall conduct the program as prescribed for its conservation and income generation.
"(3A) While conducting the program according to sub-section (3), the committee shall not transfer the property of the trust to any person. Or the organization may be given a lease for the period specified by the Government of Nepal on the recommendation of the trust.
(3b) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (3a), the party who will enjoy the property leased for a specified period shall repair the existing structure with additional capital investment. If it wants to operate and if it is ensured that there will be more financial benefit to the trust, the government of Nepal can extend the lease period as per the recommendation of the trust even before the end of such period. .”
(4) While conducting the program according to this section, the committee shall maintain close coordination with the relevant ministries or agencies so that the plans and policies of the Government of Nepal are not adversely affected.
