Section 4
Registration of trade union association
: (1) At least fifty establishment-level trade unions or at least five thousand agricultural workers from twenty districts with one hundred people from each district or at least five thousand workers of the same type of establishment can form a trade union association by mutual agreement.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), at least five hundred workers or self-employed workers of the same type of industry, business or service outside the establishment may form a trade union association by mutual agreement. But for the purpose of forming a federation according to section 5, only four associations formed under this sub-section will be counted.
(3) In order to register the trade union association formed according to sub-section (1) or (2), the official appointed by the working committee shall apply to the registrar in the prescribed format with a copy of the agreement made by such trade unions, the statute of the trade union association and the prescribed regulations as well as the prescribed details.
