(1) If the inmates of the jail are sick, the jailer should call the doctor of the jail, and if not of the jail, the government hospital, dispensary doctor or other qualified doctor in the nearest area within the state of Nepal, or if necessary, call him for medical treatment.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), if a prisoner suffering from a serious illness is confirmed by a doctor to be admitted to a hospital in a nearby area outside the prison or within the state of Nepal, or if it is proved that it is necessary to receive treatment from a specialist, the jailer shall Proper arrangements should be made for treatment, treatment or admission.
(3) In accordance with sub-rules (1) and (2), good security arrangements should be made so that the prisoner cannot escape or run away when he is taken, brought or admitted to a hospital or health home. (4) In order to protect prisoners other than patients from disease, necessary arrangements should be made according to the opinion of the equivalent doctor.
(5) If the doctor recommends that a detainee or prisoner suffering from a serious illness requires nutritional supplements in addition to regular drug treatment, one hundred grams of beef or so shall be given per day to a maximum of one percent of the total number of inmates or inmates or to one person in a prison with less than one hundred inmates or inmates. Other types of nutrients of equal value can be provided in the form of nutritional doses.
