Rule 70
Salary Allowance

(1) In the case of military personnel working in the Nepali Army, the salary allowance should not be given without passing the salary report from the military archives.
(2) The military person will get salary allowance from the date of being assigned to the service or training (3) Salaries and allowances received by military personnel for serving in the Nepalese Army shall be as determined by the Government of Nepal from time to time.
(4) After completing one year of service, every soldier will get a salary increase as determined by the Government of Nepal.
(5) Soldiers who are promoted to a post in a higher pay scale will receive the starting pay specified in the pay scale. But if the salary he is currently getting is equal to or more than the minimum salary of the above salary scale, his salary will be determined as follows:-
(a) If the salary he is currently getting is only equal to the starting salary of the upper salary scale, one salary increase will be added to that salary.
(b) In the event that the salary received in the old post is higher than the starting salary of the promoted post, when determining the salary of the higher post, one salary increment of the higher post will be added until it reaches the current salary.
(6) Soldiers employed in the followers will get salary and allowances as prescribed by the Government of Nepal according to the following levels:- Service Period Level
(a) Less than five years –        First
(b) From five years to ten years – II
(c) from ten years to fifteen years – III
(d) Fifteen years to twenty years – IV (e) More than twenty years – Level Five
