Rule 56
Even if the date has expired or there is death, the case can be processed and disposed of
(1) In any case involving matters of public rights and concern, if the petitioner has passed the date or if the petitioner has died, such case shall be dealt with and disposed of.
(2) That a complex legal question involved in a case is appropriate to be decided by a Full Bench, the Joint Bench shall, under clause (c) of sub-rule (2) of Rule 23, mention the legal question and the reasons why it should be decided by a Full Bench. Even if the petitioner has passed the deadline in the case ordered to be submitted to the bench, the legal question or judicial principle can be presented without keeping such petition in the docket.
