Punishment
: B (1) Illegally killing, injuring, buying, selling or handing over a rhinoceros, tiger, elephant, musk deer, snow leopard, snow leopard or cow.
2. A person who gives away, buys, sells or transports rhinoceros horn or musk veena, snow leopard skin and similar protected wild animals shall be punished with a fine of ₹ five lakh to ₹ 10 lakh or imprisonment for a term of five to fifteen years or both. (1a) Any person who trespasses or seizes or sells a national park, wildlife reserve, hunting reserve or conservation area in any way or causes loss, damage or damage to its natural structure or beauty in any way shall be punished with imprisonment for ten years or with a fine of up to ten lakh rupees or with both. . (2) Whoever kills or injures a protected wild animal other than the wild animals mentioned in sub-section (1) shall be punished with a fine of Rs.
(3) Hunting and killing or injuring wild animals other than birds and fish within a national park, regulated nature reserve, wildlife reserve, protected area or intermediate area without obtaining a permit shall be punishable with a fine of twenty thousand to fifty thousand rupees or imprisonment for a term of six months to one year or both. .
(4) If a protected bird is hunted and killed or injured, a fine of fifteen thousand to thirty thousand rupees or imprisonment of three months to nine months or both shall be imposed.
(4) If a bird other than a protected bird is hunted and killed or injured within a national park, regulated natural reserve, wildlife reserve, protection zone or intermediate zone without obtaining a permit, a fine of twenty thousand to fifty thousand rupees or imprisonment of six months to one year or both shall be imposed. 7(5a) Whoever commits an offense under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 5 shall be punished with a fine of twenty thousand rupees to fifty thousand rupees or imprisonment up to one year or both. soIf the forest produce is removed or damaged while committing such an offense, the corresponding punishment will also be imposed. 7(5b) Those who commit an offense under Clause (e), (f) or (g) of Section 5 will be punished as follows?- (a) Fine up to one thousand rupees, (b) Fine up to one thousand rupees, (b) Fine up to ten thousand rupees Fine or imprisonment up to six months or both, (c) If the amount exceeds ten thousand rupees, double fine or imprisonment up to one year or both. 7(Sg) If anyone rears or breeds wild animals without obtaining a license under this Act, or operates a zoo, he will be punished with imprisonment for a term up to six months or a fine of up to fifty thousand rupees or both. 7(5d) If a person commits any crime that is an offense under this Act, the perpetrator shall be sentenced to half of the punishment imposed on the offender in the case of a crime related to protected wildlife, and in case of any other crime related to wildlife. (6) Except as provided in sub-sections (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5), 4(5a) (5b) and (5c) to commit any offense contrary to this Act or the rules made under this Act. .
