Section 18
Removal and re-registration of name from the register

(1) The Council may order the removal of the name of a registered health practitioner from the register in any of the following cases:-

(a) on criminal charges of moral turpitude. Having been punished by the court, (b) found by a two-thirds majority of the council to have failed to observe the prescribed professional conduct, or (c) mentally impaired or physically unable to practice the profession. p>

(2) If a health practitioner whose name has been removed from the register according to sub-section (1) submits an application for re-registration by showing a reason for re-registration, the council may order the re-registration of his name.

p>(3) Upon receipt of an order as per sub-section (2), the registrar shall collect the fee as prescribed and re-register the name of such health practitioner in the registration book and issue a certificate.
