Section 26

Persons whose names are not registered in the registration book are prohibited from doing medical business

(1) No person other than registered doctors may directly or indirectly do the business of modern medicine.

(1a) Formation according to prevailing laws A person who is registered in the Health Professional Council will be allowed to do medical business under the Pharmaceutical Act, 2035, if the government of Nepal publishes a notice in the Nepal Gazette and specifies it.

(3) If anyone commits an offense under this section, he shall be imprisoned for up to three years and fined up to thirty thousand rupees. In case of dismemberment or other loss, loss or damage, the offender must pay reasonable compensation to the victim and in case of his death to his rightful person.
